Darkly Dreaming Dexter

As mentioned our humble little blog here is getting ready for the big time.

I’ll be taking the next few days to share some of  the stuff that we, the hotfatguys find a particular interest in.

I enjoy lot’s of different shows but as mentioned before I am a Customer Service Manager at a furniture store so my schedule does not lend itself to following too many series. Even with DVR it’s tough to find the time, SportsCenter is the exception I still watch it every day. I feel like it’s the newspaper of our generation, allot of guys I know think it’s crazy that I still watch.

You can go to espn.com anytime?

Sure you can but I love the shtick…. love the anchors, I was born October 78′…. espn was born September 79′  so I grew up with it.

But anyway, back to the boob tube. One of the “series” shows I follow and in my opinion one of the best shows on cable is Showtime’s Dexter.

Based on the book Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay it stars Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan.

A Blood Spatter Analyst for the Miami Dade PD. Dexter takes the law into his own hands in a variety of fabulous and gruesome ways.

The show has everything… a great lead, some hot females and you guessed it…

A hotfatguy, my favorite supporting character on the show is Sgt. Detective Angel Batista played by David Zayas. Sgt. Batista’s character is a great one and is brilliantly and tenderly played by Zayas.

Zayas is not associated with the site but Sgt. Batista’s character is right in our wheelhouse. Once the site is up and running we hope to reach out to some hotfatguys in Hollywood or on TV, we’ll see.

I have included 2 great scenes and a preview of Season 4 below:

Dexter Teaser

Dexter & Angel

Season 4 Preview (If you’ve never seen the show don’t watch this)

Good shit huh?

Want to give a big thank you to Dexter, Missouri as well. 10.04% of our overall traffic comes from there, our 4th most popular city.

Keep coming back Dexter we love you, and if you live in Dexter and haven’t watched Dexter then… I just don’t know what to say….

Introducing The “Goatino”!

By Jack on Monday, April 27, 2009
Filled Under: Daily Banter

Have you ever seen a Goatee?

Have you have seen a latino mustache?

Ok, I thought so…

You have never seen the “Goatino”. The Goatino is a hybrid facial style that mixes the traditional goatee with the latino mustache.

It is being developed by yours truly as we speak. The key to the Goatino is that I can grow facial hair like a bastard except in the mustache region. It’s the strangest thing but I have decided that the world is ready for it so I am growing it out.

It doesn’t look that terrible yet because the bottom half hasn’t grown in full yet. But it will…

… and when it does and there is still nothing but peach fuzz on my upper lip the true glory of the Goatino will be realized.

I’ll do my best to get some pictures up soon but I feel like I’m about to start a revolution, an army of hot fat guys with Goatino’s.

Now that my friends is fucking sexy…

Tell your friends and spread the word.

Sundress Season Has Begun…

By The Fat Man on Sunday, April 26, 2009
Filled Under: Daily Banter

I attended a cookout last night and got really, really drunk. It was fun, killing beers and drinking vodka straight out of the bottle.

Shitfaced…

I spent the first 2 hours of may day today tracking down my car and apologizing to my wife (sorry honey, I love you).

So I was pretty hungover today and consequentley laid down for a nap for an hour before having to go sell some furniture at 2:00 PM.  I woke up to the following text message on my Blackberry from my buddy Murderface (yes we really call him that):

Apr 26 2009 12:41:33 PM

Its sun dress day…

I chuckle to myself and take a shower , after I get out I have another from Kendrigan:

Apr 26, 2009 1:32:36 PM

Sun dress city sonn

I texted Kendrigan back simply saying…

“I’m on my way!”

I arrived and a quick inspection revealed what my colleagues had already discovered…

It’s Sundress season

The Season has begun

The Season has begun

If you don’t have the pleasure of living in the northeast you don’t realize this was a BRUTAL winter. We got a veritable fuckload of snow, or was it a fuck-ton. Not sure but I can tell you one thing it SUCKED. As I mentioned in Friday’s post the weather has been amazing. Today was 90+!

So now that it’s finally nice and really nice at that the Sundresses are out in full force. The Sundress is one of the hotfatguys most favorite things, not even sure if they are still “in” but I don’t care. Love it, love it, love it…

You see, being a manager in a furniture store in the Boston area has it’s pros and cons but once Sundress season starts it becomes one of the best jobs out there.

There are so many Colleges and Universities within our market that the flow of 19-23 hot females is never ending.  The only better place is the Post Office Square park downtown during the work week.

But I digress…

The NFL draft wrapped up today, Bill Belichick has forgotten more about football than I will ever know. He is the Boston sports Lombardi but I don’t know why we have a shot at grabbing at least one of USC’s stud linebackers Matthews or Maualuga and trade out of the pick. Here is the rundown of the Pat’s picks (all 12 of them).

The list of picks and their bio’s are bootlegged with pride from espn.com (obviously). If I knew this much about football I wouldn’t work at a furniture store:

NFL Team: New England Patriots 2009 Picks
RD PK(OVR) NAME POS SCHOOL
2 2(34) Patrick Chung S Oregon
  from Kansas City
Chung is not a great cover safety; he isn’t fluid or explosive enough to match up with NFL slot receivers in man coverage. He doesn’t have elite ball skills, either. On the other hand, Chung is a tough run-stopper who can deliver the big hit. He also has enough range to cover the deep half of the field.
2 8(40) Ron Brace DT Boston College
  from Oakland
Brace isn’t as quick or agile as his college teammate B.J. Raji and he’s never going to be a great pass-rusher. But he’s just as stout as Raji against the run and Brace can hold his ground working against double-teams and keep blockers off the linebackers, making him a good fit at nose tackle in a 3-4 scheme.
2 9(41) Darius Butler CB Connecticut
  from Green Bay
Butler doesn’t always play up to his ability. He can give receivers too much of a cushion in off-man coverage and we’re concerned about his ability to defend the run. On the flip side, he’s arguably the quickest corner in the draft and has the fluid hips to develop outstanding man-to-man cover skills.
2 26(58) Sebastian Vollmer OT Houston
Vollmer has an excellent combination of length and size and is light on his feet. He does a great job using his long arms to ride speed-rushers past the pocket while possessing the agility to redirect against double moves. He needs to work on staying lower out of his stance to develop into more of a run-blocker.
3 19(83) Brandon Tate WR North Carolina
from New York Jets through Green Bay
Tate brings excellent versatility. He can contribute immediately in the return game, shows excellent fluidity as a route-runner and is at his best catching the ball in the open field. However, we have concerns with the fact that Tate’s coming off a major knee injury.
3 33(97) Tyrone McKenzie OLB South Florida
  compensatory selection
McKenzie reads his keys, locates the ball quickly and tackles well. He also shows good range and awareness in zone coverage. The biggest concern we have with him is that he doesn’t have great top-end speed, so he’s going to have a problems matching up with tight ends and backs in man coverage. He also lacks great ball skills.
4 23(123) Richard Ohrnberger OG Penn State
  from Baltimore
Ohrnberger is a mauler who plays with an aggressive attitude and works very hard to finish his blocks. However, he’s limited athletically and will struggle with quicker interior defensive linemen.
5 34(170) George Bussey OT Louisville
  compensatory selection
Bussey possesses good strength upstairs. However, he fails to deliver a violent punch. He also shows some inconsistency with his footwork in pass protection, which creates some concern to his ability to prevent quicker defensive ends from turning the corner.
6 25(198) Jacob Ingram LS Hawaii
  from Baltimore
We believe Ingram is the best long-snapper who has come out in the past three years. His zip and accuracy are the two main reasons he was drafted.
6 34(207) Myron Pryor DT Kentucky
  compensatory selection
Pryor possesses excellent lower-body strength and plays with low pad level, which allows him to create excellent leverage in the interior. However, we have concerns about overall durability; he wears down throughout the course of a game.
7 23(232) Julian Edelman WR Kent State
  from Miami through Jacksonville
Edleman, a former QB, displays excellent athleticism. He will need some time to develop, learning how to run routes and create separation.
7 25(234) Darryl Richard DT Georgia Tech
Richard plays with great effort and uses his hands extremely well. However, his lateral movement is adequate at best and he will struggle to anchor on the interior.

So when Jacob Ingram is a Pro-Bowl long snapper I won’t be at all surprised nor am I that he was drafted. Belichick covets these guys I’m sure he’ll turn out to be a stud.

The Sox also wrapped up a 9 game home stand sweep and a 3 game sweep of the Yankees so life is good. The Celts lost a tough one today but I still like them to beat Chicago in 7.

So Sundress season is here and the Sox are rolling and I have a 10:30AM tee time tomorrow.

Life is good indeed…

We Have A Logo & Some Updates…

By The Fat Man on Friday, April 24, 2009
Filled Under: Daily Banter

It’s all taking shape, today we commissioned the services of a web developer to assist us with our appearance.

We also just got the final proof for our logo back from the design team:                                           hotfatguysmaller

Sorry for the delay in updating the blog but we are trying to focus on the back-end of the site and get the whole she-bang up and running.

Here is a quick overview of today’s events though:

7:30 AM- Tee Time @ Presiden’t Golf Course in Quincy, MA with a few fellas from the office.

** hotfatguys.com warning!  **Don’t golf a course with that many hills with skinny people. These fuckers nearly killed me today.

** hotfatguys.com warning!  ** If you do walk this course DO NOT wear brand new olf cleats. My knees & my feet have declared war on me.

12:30 PM- Wrapped up a a round of 115 (or so) and had a very decent Bacon Cheeseburger in the Clubhouse lounge “The View”. I paired it with a delicious Coors Light…. delicious.

1:30 PM- Shopped for Shotguns for a while then hit Edwin Watts to replace the balls I lost and get some more schwag.

2:00 PM- Dairy Queen, enough said. This is what I had [click here for the deliciousness].

3:00 PM- Arrived home to the castle and took a nap… a great nap! 70 degrees plus here in Boston, MA today.

7:00 PM-Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees for the 1st time this season.

7:45 PM-Jon Lester looks pretty good so does Jaba, typical Sox v. Yanks game… long at bats and small ball.

10:45PM- Oh yeah and the long ball, looks like the Sox are done and Jason Bay goes yard. Absolute BOMB to dead center… tie ballgame.

11:00  PM- YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!! Game over , that’s all folks! Out of the park over the MONSTAH…. wow, what a shot.

So golf season and the Sox are in full swing (get it? swing?). The Bruins swept the Canadians and are waiting for the winner of the Rangers & Capitals. The Celtics look pretty good and dominated game #2 in Chicago.

It’s an exciting time for the hotfatguys and for the City of Boston.

More to follow, stay tuned.

Boston Three Party!

By The Fat Man on Monday, April 20, 2009
Filled Under: Daily Banter

No Dice-K….? No Problem

No K.G….? No Problem

No Milan Lucic…? No Problem

It was a GREAT day for Boston sports today folks. The hot fat guys predicted an early exit for the B’s and early round domination for the C’s.

Have I mentioned that I am SOOO glad I don’t bet on hockey & basketball?

They also ran the 113th Boston Marathon today.  Call me a dick but if your in a wheelchair, how do you run a marathon?

Anyway, let’s recap…

The Red Sox rolled over Baltimore (again) and Justin Masterson looked good. A bit of a late night for this guy last night meant I didn’t get my day started till the 6th inning but here is an approximate timeline:

11:30 AM – Wake up and start the “what’s going on today” text messages.

1:02 PM – Out the door to Marina Bay in Quincy MA, this is where the Captain keeps his boat. Even this early in the Spring a good spot to meet for drinks. Had a good lunch and slipped down to the boat for a few.

4:45 PM – Arrive at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Brockton, MA pick up a new set of Adams IDEA a3 Boxer Irons.

6:00 PM – Arrive home and start throwing down Coors Diets in preparation for the B’s & C’s game.

I realize then that both games have a 7:00 PM start time. It’s rare I watch a hockey or basketball game in it’s entirety as previously stated buy it’s the playoffs. Let’s get on this bandwagon there should still be room.

Beginning of the B’s game is exciting, the Bell Centre is rocking (what the hell else do you have to give a shit about in Montreal?) . The B’s announcer Jack Edwards proclaims there is no more exciting sport in North America… I doubt that. It’s a pretty exciting game though, it’s AMAZING how much more exciting playoff hockey is than regular season hockey. At one point the B’s almost scored and I let out some guttural noise awful enough that my wife had to come check on me. Exciting game and the B’s take a 4-2 victory and a commanding 3-0 series lead.

The Celtics game didn’t disappoint either, after Rondo rolled his entire lower leg in the 2nd I was pretty sure it was over. He’s a warrior though so he came back . Ray Allen was Ray Allen so after burying a 3 with less than 3 seconds to go it was over. Then comes my favorite part of every big Celtics win… watching K.G. mouth the word “MOTHA FUCKA” 220 times… love it.

Oh yeah and some Ethiopian & Kenyan won the marathon, I swore this was my buddy Sully’s year. Guess his training regiment of Newports & Jaeger Bombs didn’t cut it.

So yeah, a win for the B’s,C’s, Sox and a new set of irons for this hot fat guy. Pretty good day!

I’m trying my best to get some other functions of the site up and running so please be patient and keep checking back.

Finally if you were lucky enough to read my post from last night about my Rock Band triumphs you may realize I was pretty tired. I was going to go back and clean it up but it’s just a matter of time before I leave a blog entry really drunk and at that point grammer and punctuation (or even common sense) won’t matter.

So there is a random collection of thoughts for you and a quick summary of the day in Boston Sports.

Celtics Playoff Chances ?

By Jack on Thursday, April 16, 2009
Filled Under: Daily Banter

It was just announced that KG is probably done for the season with his sore knee ending weeks of speculation that it was worse than the team was letting on.

Here is the official hotfatguys.com NBA prediction:

1) Celtics will beat the Bulls and the Magic but Fall in 6 to the Cavs.

2) This could be Lebron’s year unless of course Cleavland is to busy dancing around like a bunch of morons to focus on Detroit. I know that the Cavs sat anyone who mattered last night but a loss is a loss, especially at home. So much for tying the 86 Celts for best home record. The Cavs have won NOTHING so far. They shouldn’t start sucking each other’s dicks quite yet.  Just ask the 18-1 Pats….ugh.

3)How do they leave Plaxico with 1 on 1 coverage in the red zone?!? He’s the ONLY big play threat down there? Why couldn’t he have shot himself 2 years ago…. fuck!!! At least we don’t have to watch that as much now that The Steelers won last year…. fuck!!!

Sorry, so anyway that’s the latest… oh & John Madden retired (WAP!, BOOM!) crazy old bastard.

Got a bad feeling about this B’s series as well but because I know NOTHING about hockey I’m going to avoid predicting that the B’s lose this series to Montreal….

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Bruins are in the Playoffs !

By Jack on Wednesday, April 15, 2009

As previously stated I am a fair weather B’s fan at best. It’s not like I’m an Islanders fan or something I’m just indifferent toward hockey as a whole. My uncle is die hard & my cousin just made the under 16 US national team so at family gathering hockey is still a topic of discussion. One of my colleagues Walshy just forwarded me a link though with some amazing Bruins commercials to get everyone in the mood for the playoffs.

Wait, the B’s are playing the Canadians? Anyone know where I can get a 4xl Milan Lucic jersey real quick?

Enjoy!
